About Us
The owner of Soft-Train was a public school teacher and high school principal for over 20 years, prior to incorporating Soft-Train in 1983. The owner and his three sons were some of the first pioneers at Soft-Train. In 1983, we provided PC training (i.e. DOS, Lotus, WordPerfect, etc...) and Soft Skills training (i.e. Leadership, Team Building, Customer Service etc…). We offered these training services to government agencies and various companies located throughout the United States. In the early 80's, we expanded our course offering to include technical training for information technology professionals. In specific, the technical training currently supports products that have been released by such vendors as: Oracle, Microsoft, Novell, Corel, Adobe, CISCO, Linux, IBM, and CompTIA.
In 1992, Soft-Train formed a Technical Services Department that currently provides: technical writing services, software development services, network support services, and business management services. As of 1996, Soft-Train expanded its consulting services to now include translation services. Currently, Soft-Train can translate documents into over 100 different languages by certified translators.
In May of 2004, our founder passed away, and his sons and wife currently manage the business. As of 2007, Soft-Train moved its corporate office to a different facility that Soft-Train completely remodeled, and facilitated with brand new Dell servers, video equipment and Cisco gear within its current classrooms. Soft-Train is currently developing an in-house application that will be used to drive all facets of its business. Once this application is completed, Soft-Train will focus its energies on franchise sales.
